Carmel Market

I read somewhere how great the Carmel Market was here in Israel, so I was really excited to go. There was a lot of different shops but the day we chose to go was one of their busiest days. It was way crowded and a bit overwhelming but it was still very fun.
We bought some delicious cherry tomatoes and strawberry's. The tomatoes tasted like they were straight out of the garden, of course our family finished off the whole Kilo in a couple of hours.

They have some very yummy looking candy but we won't buy anything that we can't wash. You never know what people do with it when it is sitting out in the open like this. Yuck!

The fruit is the best! We plan to go back next week just in time for my sister's visit!

  Cow hoofs anyone?

Orson Hyde Park

Orson Hyde Memorial Garden
We were really impressed by this place. It is a beautiful garden on the hill of the Mount of Olives. It has switchbacks all the way up and a beautiful view.

Jonathan being a boy.

Mom needed a rest!

Chris and Jonathan sitting on a wall, the Dome of the Rock shows just between them.

Michael just chillin.

Gethsemane

Garden of Gethsemane
Gethsemane is a beautiful garden just outside of the Church of all Nations. It is kind of a bit touristy for my taste but it was still very pretty.

A very awesome lizard that was running through the garden.
