Nimrods Fortress 9/16/2012

We are way to lazy to type the sign below...so just read it  :)

This is a huge water cistern...that is moss on top the water.

This big room had tons of little passageways for the kiddies to explore.

Bathtime!

No one likes a frowny face!
We tried for a family picture but one of us wasn't so happy...

"R.O.U.S."
Rodents of unusual size. These things were about the size of a large cat and they were running around all over the place.

In these next three pictures you can see Lebanon in the distance.

Garden of Eden

Sometimes I feel like we are in the Garden of Eden. I am so amazed at the beautiful kinds of trees, flowers, birds, etc.

A glimpse of the future....

Chris decided it was time to shave his head again. But first, he wanted to let the kids have some fun. With a bit of direction they gave him a glimpse of what he will look like in 20 more years, give or take. :)

Green Garden

Just about 5 min from our home off of the freeway I would notice all of these really cool art things with a sign saying Green Garden. But I never could figure out how to get to it, there was no exit by it and when I would take the next exit, I couldn't figure out how to back track to it. One day when Chris was with me in the car I told him we needed to find that place, so we set off. Luckily we found it, it is a drive thru garden that has so many neat things. These are just a few of the pictures...

Rosh Hashanah

It was Rosh Hashanah this week which is the Jewish New Year, it is celebrated on 2 days which was Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th. It is believed to be the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve. Rosh Hashanah is (the day of Judgement) the people are suppose to reflect and commit to be better people. This holiday is followed up by Yom Kippur (day of Atonement) 10 days later and the people have until then to reflect, repent, and become righteous. The wicked will be blotted out of the book of the living forever.

The kids learned at school that you are suppose to eat apples dipped in honey and pomegranates.

Jonathan came home from school with the video about Rosh Hashanah so I included it here...
